Protect your cannabis with pest prevention products.
We want to help you prevent and kill cannabis pests. If you grow cannabis at home in soil or with hydroponics, be prepared, because the most common cannabis pests that home growers encounter are fungus gnats, aphids, thrips, spider mites, caterpillars, and powdery mildew. You’ll need to use and rotate a variety of pest preventatives and pest killing products when gardening cannabis at home. Even if you keep your grow room or grow tent impeccably clean, you still need to practice pest prevention. With commercial cannabis cultivation, every nursery has an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan, and for home growers, it should be no different. Take pest prevention seriously, or else suffer the consequences: failed harvests, pest infestations, time loss and money loss.
Pest control products for your home grow:
Bug Buster O: Prevent and kill aphids, thrips, spider mites, fungus gnats and more.
The main ingredient of Bug Buster O is a botanical pesticide called pyrethrin and is OMRI Listed for organic gardening. Bug Buster O comes in a small bottle and is highly concentrated. It can be applied as a foliar spray or fed into the soil. Bug Buster helps prevent and kill aphids, thrips, spider mites, fungus gnats and more.
Mosquito Bits: Prevent and kill fungus gnat larvae.
The main ingredient of Mosquito Bits is BTI, short for Bacillus Thuringiensis Israelensis. This product is mixed into water or sprinkled onto top soil to attack and kill the larvae of fungus gnats. In order to eradicate fungus gnats, you must kill the larvae because fungus gnats lay up to 100 to 300 eggs, hatch in 4 to 6 days and larvae feed for 12 to 14 days.
Monterey’s Garden Take Down Spray: Prevent and kill caterpillars, spider mites, gnats, and aphids.
The main ingredient in Monterey’s Garden Take Down Spray is pyrethrin and canola oil, specifically 5% pyrethrin and 89.5% canola oil. It kills all stages of insects, including eggs. Use as a foliar spray to prevent and kill enemies of cannabis — spider mites, caterpillars, gnats and aphids. Monterey’s Garden Take Down Spray is available as a concentrate or ready-to-use spray bottle.
